Who we are. Read our Story

Boys to Men is a volunteer-run youth development and mentoring organisation which takes adolescent boys through a residential weekend long journey aimed at fostering community and providing the space for boys to bring a positive shift to their lives in a supportive environment. The programme takes boys wherever they are in their lives, and offers a space to express their vulnerability safely, develop emotional literacy and begin to break down toxic narratives around masculinity which pervade in the formative teenage years.

Boys to Men is a registered not-for-profit with a dedicated team comprising men of all ages as well as adolescents currently in the programme, working together to create a transformative experience for others. Our team consists of a community of empathic and passionate individuals who are highly trained and have extensive experience in mentoring and youth development.

Boys to Men Cape Town has been running since 2005 and we have worked with many different schools and communities, with positive results for thousands of boys. Boys to Men works to empower young boys to navigate life and living through a supportive and accepting community, developing vital skills across a variety of spheres.
